Rolls-Royce 103EX Concept

British luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce wanted in on the celebration, with parent company’s BMW centenary well on the way. As such, designers and engineers worked hard on coming up with something worthy of appreciation and said event, which is why were now glancing upon the 103EX concept.

Rolls Royce’s latest vision is what the company considers to be the ideal fully autonomous coachbuilt luxury vehicle, developed around a hand-built chassis made from the most advanced materials. Moreover, customers are supposed to be welcomed to get involved in the design of the shape, size and silhouette of their future Rolls-Royce.

The Rolls-Royce VISION NEXT 100 is set to play a key and unique role in the customer’s life, especially considering that there is no steering in the cabin. There’s plenty of space and a sofa-like seat, complemented by Eleanor’s presence, the company’s virtual assistant and chauffeur.

Eleanor will drive the Rolls-Royce 103EX to the desired destination and advise passengers in regards to itineraries, schedules and appointments. A transparent OLED screen on the front wall of the cabin is how information is displayed, while a finely crafted analogue clock reminds everyone of the ‘caliber’ of the vehicle.

With 28′ hand-built aluminum wheels, enclosed to boast a sort of catamaran look, the Rolls completes said environmental vibe with the aid of a zero-emissions electric powertrain. Is it just me, or is anyone else sad to think about the V12 going away for ever?
