Porsche 911 Turbo by Wimmer
The Wimmer name has been around for over 20 years, and they’ve managed to stick around for that long for a good reason: their team of specialists are capable of getting any engine to deliver as much power as possible, without bursting into flames. This Porsche 911 Turbo was part of such an experiment, and this is what they ended up with.
The 997 you see here benefits from a golden wrap complemented by a tuned-up engine. The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio now features a 840 PS (828 hp) and 870 Nm (641 lb-ft) of torque power output; this was possible by equipping the stock 480 PS (473 hp) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) flat six engine with two new turbochargers, spark plugs, reinforced pressure tubes and a more powerful fuel pump.
All these mods added up, allowing the 911 Turbo to show off a top speed of 363 km/h (225 mph) along with a 0 to 200 km/h (120 mph) time of 10.1 seconds. Considering those numbers, you will be glad to know that the standard clutch has been replaced by a sport unit, while a stainless steel exhaust system with electronic valve command and sports catalysts has also been fitted onto the vehicle. Please note that Wimmer charges €39,000 ($42,378) for the engine modifications, and another €7,500 ($8,149) for the KW adjustable suspension and O.Z. Ultraleggera 19-inch alloys. Go crazy!
