The new Lotus 3-Eleven brags about two things: first, it’s been praised as the fastest model to ever leave the Lotus factory and, second, it’s the most expensive in street-legal trim. That’s right, this menacing vehicle comes in two versions, Road and the track-only Race. Costing between £82,500 and £116,500 ($118,800 / $167,800), depending on specification, only 311 Lotus fans will be lucky enough to own one.
The Lotus 3-Eleven packs some serious punch, considering that the Race trim boasts 460 hp and a dry weight of 890 kg (1,962 lb); as a result, the Lotus will do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 3 seconds, it will take six seconds to go to 100 mph (160 km/h) and it will max out at 180 mph (290 km/h).
The Road model benefits from 410 hp and an acceleration time of 3.3 seconds; it will go for a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h), which is not too shabby. Built around a bespoke chassis, the Lotus 3-Eleven has also received AP Racing four-piston calipers with two-piece grooved and vented brake discs, to keep up with the thrilling driving experience. This is one beast that will take some serious skills to be tamed.
