Harley-Davidson 48 by Rock Solid
There’s always time for a cool Harley, and that’s exactly what the Harley-Davidson 48 by Rock Solid is. Dreaming about something a bit different, the owner of this bike shared its dream with a custom shop and the guys at Rock Solid Motorcycles decided to make it happen. Owner of Rock Solid, Hugo Pereira, went for a 2005 XL1200 with just 8,000 km on the clock. The carburetors and stripped-down looks add to the ruggedness of the project, and I love every inch of that bike.
Attention to detail is part of any respectable firm’s offering, and that’s just what the team at Rock Solid delivers. The bike shows off a pair of super smooth rims from HD Wheels, while the vibrant yellow lets you know this beast is alive. Metzeler Karoo 3 tires will help the rider keep on track, but 360mm Öhlins shockers jack up the rear and Progressive fork springs add stiffness to the front. A race derived front disc from Braking is set to help the owner come to a complete stop in due time. The powder coating has retouched the bike – out with the chrome and in with gloss and matt black. There’s also a low-profile Joker Machine air filter, a Yamaha-sourced tank and a Fehling handlebar on Sportster risers. You like?
