You’d better watch out, you’d better be nice, ’cause this bad boy won’t be asking you twice! The Ford Police Interceptor Utility is the company’s new take on the public safety and crowd control. Discreet and hard to spot,  Ford is calling the Explorer’s new system the “no profile” light bar. It replaces the roof-mounted unit with a pair of thin light strips between the headliner and the top of the windshield.

According to Ford, this system isn’t bulky and will deliver Law Enforcement a windshield that hasn’t been tinted at the top, meaning this setup should be brighter and difficult to ignore. No technical specs to talk about, since there is no official statement in that matter – what a surprise – but the main idea here is to keep it cool and legal at all times; a Ford Police Interceptor Utility might be waiting just around the corner to put you in your place.
