Ford Mustang Terlingua Racing Team by Shelby
Just when you thought you just can’t handle all the rugged power Shelby vehicles pack, the famous badge now adorns yet another serious project. The Ford Mustang Terlingua Racing Team by Shelby is a special edition designed to pay homage to Terlingua Racing Team created back in the 1960s – headed by Carroll Shelby and Bill Neale.
This V8 Mustang is set to develop more than 750 ponies with the limited-series Shelby Terlingua Racing Team Mustangs to only include 50 units. Based upon the 2015-2016 Ford Mustang GT, the Shelby Terlingua is a track-inspired Mustang packing the new 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT engine, goof for about 750 hp, as well as an exclusive Shelby-by-Eibach sway bar and adjustable coilovers.
Also part of the offering are Ford Performance upgrades, such as half-shafts, a short-throw shifter and the powerful Borla Exhaust with black tips. To handle the extra grunt, the team fitted the Mustang with a Brembo Big Brake kit for racetrack-proven performance; with that in mind, the 20″ Weld Racing alloys and various Shelby-designed carbon fiber components seem like a good idea – the distinct Terlingua Racing Team badging is easily spotted. As an added bonus, each of the 50 special vehicles will feature an autograph plaque of Bill Neale, Carroll Shelby and Jerry Titus; these alone should justify the vehicles’ $65,999 price-tags.
