BMW i8 Celebration Edition
BMW’s standard plug-in hybrid i8 sports cars can be ordered in one of magical paint-jobs – unless you live in the UK. However, Japan-based enthusiasts benefit from a limited-time offer as BMW’s Japanese division decided to commemorate the car maker’s 100th anniversary and allow them to enjoy the “Celebration Edition” i8.
This BMW i8 shows off the same characteristics as the Protonic Red Limited Edition variant – you might remember it showing up at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, including the “Frozen Gray Metallic” accents, and the W-spoke 470 light-alloy wheels. You might be interested to know that only 20 units will be offered throughout Japan, with each one featuring an interior badge that hints towards the unique character of this vehicle.
Inside the cabin, lucky owners will find carbon-fiber interior trim, black ceramic selector lever, exclusive door sill plates and storage package. Exclusivity always has its price, and this time there’s a ¥22,000,000 ($197,945) price-tag associated with that overwhelming feeling of uniqueness. You like?
