Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon Edition
After the British came up with the Q, by Aston Martin personalization service two years ago, the car manufacturer made a habit out of introducing Carbon Edition limited run models. Which means it’s now time to enjoy the Aston Martin Vanquish in the same form, and I have to say this is a good day to be alive.
Aston Martin equipped the Vanquish Carbon Edition with a distinctive monochrome visual identity. The dark motif is well enhanced by the Herringbone carbon fiber, but for those of a more lighter approach it’s worth mentioning that Aston also offers an angelic Carbon White package. Both appearance packages add carbon fiber trim on the front and rear bumpers, fender vents, side mirror caps and door handles. The 10-spoke alloys only come in gloss black.
Aston will allow customers to go for red brake calipers, yellow or low-key gray. Inside the cabin, owners will enjoy more carbon fiber on the center console, sill plates and steering wheel-mounted flappy pedals. Part of the package are also a Bang & Olufsen audio system with black speaker grilles, leather seats, dash and door panels with contrasting red, yellow or gray stitching.
From a mechanical point of view, Aston Martin hasn’t touched anything; this means there’s a 6-liter naturally-aspirated V12 with 567 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque connected to an eight-speed auto. The Vanquish Carbon Edition will do 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds, but you’d better slow down for everyone to see what vehicle you’re riding in.
