2017 Porsche 911 GTS
Porsche’s 911 GTS range is also showing off some new features and tweaks, just in time with the new year and all that ‘new me’ craze we all notice around us. The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS benefits from the updated styling introduced by the 991.2 facelift, while a fresh engine makes noise under the stylish exterior.
The new GTS packs a newly-developed 3.0-liter straight-six, complemented by two turbochargers, capable of developing 450 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe is the fastest off the line, compared to the full range – Carrera GTS, the Carrera 4 GTS, Carrera GTS Cabriolet, Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet and Targa 4 GTS, as it will do 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds (with the PDK transmission).
There is also an improvement in fuel efficiency t obe mentioned, although we all know Porsche fans don’t really think about that unless they get stranded in the middle of nowhere. Compared to the outgoing range, the facelifted models show off updated headlights and taillights, as well as a new SportDesign front splitter, a black strip between the taillights for rear-wheel drive models, and black 20″ center locking alloys.
On the inside, drivers will get – regardless of model choice – Porsche’s Sport Chrono package, alongside various components finished in Alcantara and four-way electrically adjustable seats. In Germany, the entry-level GTS starts off at 124,451 euros ($131,057) and will reach as much as 144,919 euros ($152,612) – for the 4 GTS Cabriolet and Targa 4 GTS.
