2017 Geneva Motor Show – 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo by Gemballa
German tuner Gemballa has been working magic on the Porsche 911 since 1985, so why would they stop? They didn’t, which is why they showed up at Geneva with this 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo. The aftermarket specialists based in Leonberg, Germany, have traveled a long way to show off their project, and we’re glad that they did. The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo by Gemballa packs a tweaked 3.8-liter six-cylinder bi-turbo, good for about 820 hp and 950 Nm of torque, which required some serious work – new turbochargers and bespoke intake manifolds, as well as a high-performance air filter and tweaked cylinder heads. The gearbox needed some upgrades as well, in order for it to handle the extra grunt.
An adjustable sports chassis proved to be a necessity, while the 21″ alloys wrapped in ZR21 rubber are somewhat of a styling choice. The aggressive body matches the technical upgrades, ensuring visual awesomeness, and improved driving dynamics. Obviously, some of the aero components brag about carbon fiber construction, while the sports exhaust system encompasses four end pipes. On the inside, however, Gemballa went for a two-tone black and white leather upholstery mixed with Alcantara accents and various carbon fiber touches. Packing everything you could imagine or not, this customized Porsche will set you back €389,600 ($411,748) – not that affordable, the last time I checked.
