2016 Paris Motor Show – BMW X2 Concept
The BMW X2 Concept arrived at the Paris Motor Show looking all shiny and stylish. A sister model to the second generation X1, the concept previews a production crossover for us all to enjoy. Showing off a different design language than before, this vehicle is set to offer a pleasant mix between enjoyment and practicality. You might have noticed that the signature ‘kidney’ grille is flanked by the angular laser light headlamps with futuristic graphics, while the aggressive bumper with wide side air intakes makes for a bold statement.
The raked windscreen, lower roofline, and the lack for regular door handles add to a futuristic vibe, complemented by the rear end, where an angled tailgate, a prominent spoiler, new taillights and double exhaust pipes are meant to impress. As you might have figured out by now, much of this overwhelming facade will be revised by the time the BMW X2 reaches production but the five-door layout and sloping roofline will be retained, while the X1 four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be providing momentum.
