2016 New York Motor Show – Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

2016 New York Motor Show - Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Some people didn’t believe the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is real, but the company proved it was. This addition to the Jeep family boasts rugged good looks and serious off-road capabilities – or, so we hope – and was pat of the company’s booth at the New York Auto Show. If all this sounds too much, you are welcomed to go for the Summit version, which features 20-inch polished alloys, LED fog lights, and full-wrap Laguna leather interior. Every available Grand Cherokee option is part of this Jeep’s offering, with said model bragging about luxury, craftsmanship and standard premium features,

However, it is the Trailhawk that’s got my attention; standard equipment includes Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, a revised air-suspension, skid plates, the black hood decal, as well as those red tow hooks. Please note the slightly different front fascia, sourced from the 2012 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Moab concept, and the option to go for either 18- or 20-inch alloys; thinking about customer satisfaction and needs, the company also equipped the Trailhawk with a roof rack with Neutral Gray accents, and optional Mopar rock rails for added protection. Also interesting is that both Trailhawk and Summit models come with one of three different engines. The standard includes Chrysler’s 295-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine, although the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 might sounds like more desirable options.

Scheduled to arrive in Jeep showrooms later this summer the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk the Trailhawk’s interior shows off a unique black theme, with leather and swayed performance seats for comfort and control, as well as red accent stitching, brushed Piano Black appliques, gun-metal finish. Passengers will probably notice the Trailhawk badge on the Jeep steering wheel, and red accent stitching on the seats, doors and console. Tech features inside include a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen , with updated off-road pages showing wheel articulation and other vehicle 4×4 capability features, as well as suspension height and 4×4 and Selec-Terrain modes. Please note that Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk SUVs come in Redline Red, Billet Silver, Bright White, Rhino, Granite Crystal, Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal exterior paints. Which one will it be?
