2016 New York Motor Show – 2017 Kia Cadenza

2016 New York Motor Show - 2017 Kia Cadenza

Does the Cadenza name ring any bells? Of course not, since the car has been near the bottom of its segment for the past two years. As such, the 2017 Kia Cadenza required much effort and research before being revealed, and that time has come. This time, KIA tries to impress us with a stylish exterior, signature Z-shaped lighting included, LED taillights; and more.

Powered is provided by a revised 3.3-liter V6 engine, allowing the Cadenza to benefit from around 290 hp, sent to the front wheels through the company’s first FWD-based 8-speed automatic gearbox. According to the Korean automaker, this gearbox should provide quick shifts and increased sportiness.

On the inside, however, the Cadenza surely doesn’t disappoint. Its interiors include high-quality soft-touch materials, such as leather, as well as a lowered driving position. Also worth mentioning are Kia’s latest generation UVO system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 12-speaker Harman/Kardon system. I have to admit the overall design reminds me of American builders, the likes of Buick; but i didn’t say that’s a bad thing.
