2016 Mercedes GLE Class
The M-Class has been re-imagined, and now features new technologies and a new name. The 2016 Mercedes GLE Class combines style with functionality, not to mention boasting with performance – there’s even a plug-in hybrid version available. Surely, the advanced assistance systems, nine-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and DYNAMIC SELECT dynamic handling control system are worth mentioning.
Going back to that hybrid, the 2016 Mercedes GLE features a BlueDIRECT V6 direct-injection petrol engine, good for about 333 hp, working alongside a hybrid module with 116 hp. With a total of 442 hp at your disposal and 18.5 miles of pure electric range, this bad boy looks more impressive by the second.
How about that 63 AMG V8 model, powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, developing 585 hp and 760 Nm of torque and enabling the big SUV to do 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. All Mercedes GLE models come with fresh new look, with the AMG version showing off a body-kit, the signature “A-wing” and twin-blade radiator grille, as well as the 4MATIC off-road feature. So, was this range worth saving and upgrading?
