2016 McLaren 675LT Spider
McLaren has decided to finally show their new 2016 McLaren 675LT Spider, a droptop version of the very desirable and track-focused 675LT supercar. This car accepted the challenge of outperforming the Ferrari 488 Spider, being the fastest open top ever created by McLaren. It will come in a limited-edition series of just 500 units, following the well-known philosophy: more power, less weight and an incredible driving experience.
Speaking of which, the McLaren 675LT Spider features the modified 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, good for around 666 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes with new exhaust manifolds, custom turbochargers, a bespoke fuel pump and delivery system, lightweight connecting rods and a new camshaft.
Being an impressive 100 kg lighter compared to the ‘standard’ 650S Spider, this Spider will do 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 8.1 seconds, and will reach a top speed of 326 km/h. On an aesthetic level, things have remained virtually untouched, which is why this vehicle features the same colors as the coupé, including the Silica White, Delta Red, Napier Green and Chicane Grey shades.
This McLaren supercar also comes in a new golden color, dubbed Solis, while riding on a set of bespoke alloys. Please note the wide selection of carbon fiber components, including the likes of a bold front splitter, new side skirts and enlarged air intakes, as well as overhauled rear fascia. The question is: can you afford it?
