2016 Geneva Motor Show – Ford GTE

2016 Geneva Motor Show - Ford GTE

Ford performance area at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show included a white Ford GT and the Ford GTE race car, with the latter looking way more interesting and worthy of our attention. This particular Ford GTE is driven by German endurance race driver Stefan Mücke, with the GTE being Ford’s official endurance vehicle for the 24 hours of Le Mans. Deja vu.

Based on the new Ford GT, the 2016 Ford GT GTE will compete in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. Powered by the new 3.5 liter V6 twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine, the race car will definitely handle its business; the car also benefits from smart innovations, such as new aerodynamics for maximum downforce with minimal drag, an exceptionally light chassis and much more. I’m sure nothing compares to the experience of driving this beast around the track.
