2016 Chevrolet Malibu
The new Chevrolet Malibu hows sharp new looks, various tech features, and a hybrid variant – a first. Chevrolet Malibu has always been a controversial model, meaning that everyone used to see only the flaws in this car; however, the manufacturer hopes things will change with this product.
The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu offers a 100 mm longer wheelbase, although it’s 300 lbs (136 kg) lighter than the earlier model. Boasting Chevy’s new front grille, some aggressive headlights, and a square jaw and broad shoulders, the Malibu aims at a stylish and impressive design. But it’s the technology that makes this vehicle stand out from the crowd.
The mid-size, affordable sedan features OnStar 4G LTE in-vehicle connectivity, alongside wireless phone charging, and 10 standard air bags, Also worth mentioning is that the Malibu comes with Forward Collision Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert system, as well as a new Teen Drive feature which keeps an eye on your kids.
The efficient new engines include an all-new Ecotec 1.5-liter turbo engine, featuring stop/start technology and 160 hp, the 2.0-liter turbo engine – 250 hp – mated to an 8-speed transmission, as well as a Hybrid. The latter consists of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine working together with a two-motor drive unit, sourced from Vol,t to deliver 180 hp. I guess if the price is right, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is a pretty decent car to have and drive; so decent, we won’t have time to criticize it any more.
