2015 Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4² Show Car
The 4×4² version of the G-Class takes things to a different level. The engine and portal axles of the brutal 6×6 have been adapted to a new variable chassis 4 wheel car, resulting in a G 500 with seriously upgraded off-road abilities. With twice the ground clearance of the production G 500, this vehicle promises to boldly go where no Mercedes vehicles has gone before – except, maybe, for the Unimog.
However, you should consider that, for such a stylish and luxurious car, this Mercedes is pretty bold. The vehicle rides on 22-inch 325/55 R 22 alloys, with optional 37 x 12.5 x 18-inch MT tires for going off-road. Hiding under the bonnet is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, developing 422 hp, which makes use of the “hot inside V” turbo configuration for maximum space efficiency and quick responsiveness. To put it all in a short sentence: it’s awesome!
