1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster Smalto Rosso
A blast from the past, and what a blast this is! The Lamborghini Miura and Countach were two of the most significant supercars ever to have been revealed to the world, and I should know; I had the privilege of enjoying a ride in one of those cars – feeling a bit too proud about that, but let’s move one.
This 1997 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster Smalto Rosso seems to represent the peak of Lamborghini’s vivid imagination and engineering, and only 66 were built that year. Designed by Marcello Gandini, the Diablo was powered by a 5.7-liter version of the Lamborghini V12, with an output of 485 hp.
An all wheel drive system and 5-speed manual transmission would send the power to the wheels, although this car has only been driven for 3,200 kilometers. Brembo disc brakes, a tan leather interior with red piping, Alpine stereo system, and power windows are also part of the offering
Owned since new by former boxing world champion, George Foreman, this Lambo comes with copies of the original title and registration card in George Foreman’s name. Original 1997 tires included, along with autographed George Foreman boxing gloves with accompanying certificate of authenticity and miscellaneous George Foreman boxing memorabilia. Marvelous.
